| Description | GlucoMON™ is the first wireless device for automatically transmitting hypoglycemic test results from a child's self-test glucose meter from anywhere to anywhere. The real benefit delivered in their initial service is to provide a timely remote connection between parent and child and to understand compliance to the expected glucose-testing regimen. The GlucoMON requires the OneTouch® Ultra® from Lifescan, Inc. These customized glucose alerts may be delivered as either text or digital voice messages to any phone, fax, pager or email. The bundled service plan may be purchased as a 12-month subscription at $33/mo. at www.glucomon.com or call Diabetech® toll-free at 866.235.7268. This system allows for telemedicine without requiring any understanding of technology, no computers required, no internet, etc... In addition, the IVR components and outcall features allow individuals to add other diabetes relevant data to their patient record via plain old telephone service. Proprietary and client defined risk-based algorithms are used to trigger alerts to various members of the diabetes team whereby they then take the appropriate action. |
